As a husband and wife team, Armando and Vicky were presented the opportunity to take over a very small tutoring business that consisted of one main full time tutor and two very part-time math tutors. They took over the business, Success Tutoring, in late 2005 and expanded it to include a very select core of highly qualified educators as tutors. By closely overseeing all delivery of services, they make sure that the services delivered are effective and that students really learn and succeed academically. Although their tutoring services are competitively priced, they know that not everybody can afford personalized, one-to-one tutoring. So, they decided to create online courses to help as many students as possible at a pricing range affordable to most parents. They wanted to help as many students as possible to achieve their academic goals. That is how the Virtual Academy for Success came to be. With well over twenty years of experience helping students academically, they and their tutor educators have seen many sticking points or areas that generally give students difficulty or that students find challenging. (Examples: learning to read, reading comprehension, math basics, fractions, geometry and at the higher levels - physics, calculus or writing skills.)
